Passport eCashiering allows health care administrators to quickly
and easily process online payments. With interfaces directly
into your billing system and swipe terminals at the point of
service, sensitive financial data is protected and keystroke
errors are eliminated.
- Patient
payment: patients and guarantors can pay their balance
via credit card, signature debit card or electronic check.

Administrator payment: administrators can collect
patient or guarantor payments via credit card, signature
debit card, electronic check, paper check, cash or money
order. Administrators can swipe cards, eliminating keying
errors and qualifying the facility for lower, “card present”
transaction rates.
- General
Ledger payments: administrators can also collect general
ledger payments via credit card, signature debit card,
electronic check, paper check, cash or money order. Facility
G/L numbers and descriptions are pre-populated, allowing for
fast and accurate G/L payment posting.
- Patient
discounts: allows hospitals to offer discounts to
patient or guarantors. These discounts are presented on the
payment receipt and available in the reports and nightly
remittances.
- Payment
plans: allows administrators to offer payment plans at
point-of-service and over the phone. Patients and guarantors
agree to a recurring credit card or electronic check charge
as part of the payment plan enrollment. eCashiering
automatically processes the payments per the plan terms and
includes those payments in the nightly remittance.
- Credit
card processing: collect credit card payments
automatically.
- eChecking:
converts paper checks into ACH entries allowing for faster
deposit into your account. All you need is the check number
and bank routing number.
- Cash
tracking: enables providers to record and track cash and
check payments electronically. Copies of receipts are
automatically saved online and can be retrieved instantly
whenever needed.
- Trend
reporting: allows managers to track collection trends
across departments and users. Daily, weekly, monthly,
quarterly and yearly trends enable monitoring of up front
collections improvements. High performers can be recognized
and rewarded and under performers can receive additional
training.
