FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Seth Rupp has been named Chief Technology Officer at
Passport Health
Communications, Inc. He will help to lead Passport’s development
activities, infrastructure management and project management as the organization
expands its broad technical capabilities for patient access and revenue cycle
management.
“Seth brings deep health care IT knowledge to Passport. His breadth of
experience from running a development group to implementing software to managing
customer relationships will add tremendous value across a variety of activities.
He also has executive experience with companies like Passport that are growing
rapidly,” said Passport CEO Scott MacKenzie.
Rupp was with Cerner Corporation for more than 10 years, most recently as Vice
President and Executive Leader – Academic and Children’s Segment. He also served
as Vice President of the Providing Care Group at Cerner. Before that he was
Senior Manager with Grant Thornton and was also with Andersen Consulting (now
Accenture). His career includes technology consulting and engineering in many
different health care areas from pediatrics to financial services.
As Passport’s Chief Technology Officer, Rupp will be responsible for defining

development commitments and goals and helping Passport leverage its extensive
technical capabilities to meet the needs of clients. MacKenzie said the company
will leverage Rupp’s talent for cultivating strong customer relationships by
making sure he is actively involved in client interactions to align Passport’s
solutions with their unique needs.
Passport currently works with approximately one-third of all U.S. hospitals and
more than 5,000 other health care provider facilities in all 50 states.
“We welcome Seth as another strong addition to a company already known for high
