Keith Ely joined Passport shortly after it was founded in 1996 as vice president of operations. His leadership has driven the corporate focus of selling to new customers, growing volume with existing customers, continuing to update existing products and add new products, enhancing customer support and systems infrastructure and addressing other financial and people resource areas to grow the business.

Prior to joining Passport, Ely was vice president of operations for Network Data Corporation, where he was responsible for the implementation of software products for the convenience store industry and rolled out a point-of-sale system to more than 1,000 locations nationwide. Prior to that, he was vice president of operations for a division of Schlumberger, Inc. and was also a design engineer for Texas Instruments.

Ely has a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering as well as an MBA.
