James V. (Jim) Lackey, Jr. is chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Passport Health Communications, Inc. He has been with the company since October 1996.

Prior to joining Passport, Lackey spent four years with the nation’s largest worker’s compensation PPO, FOCUS Healthcare Management, as executive vice president and later as president. Before that he was vice president of administration and one of the founding officers of Coventry Corporation and assistant vice president of administration for HealthAmerica Corporation. Lackey’s diverse experience also includes hospital administration and health care consulting with Ernst & Young, LLP.

Lackey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma Baptist University and serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Healthcare Council. Among his notable industry accolades are three “Healthcare 100” awards from the Nashville Business Journal. He and his wife of 32 years have three sons, two daughters-in-law, a grandson and two granddaughters. He enjoys camping, motorcycles, cars and is a private pilot.
