FRANKLIN, Tennessee –
Passport Health Communications, Inc., announces
Internet-Based ClaimSource which standardizes the process of sending claims
electronically, while creating substantial efficiencies for provider billing
offices.
"We are excited to be adding this tool to the Passport group of products," Jim
Lackey, Passport's CEO, said. "ClaimSource will give providers the benefit of
being paid faster with minimal rejection and refiling of claims while Payers
will benefit by having aggregated claims entering their systems in a consistent
manner, to their specifications."
"At Passport we focus on customer service as one of our core values, and
ClaimSource will receive the same high level of support to benefit our clients,"
said Lackey.
By interfacing claims into Passport ClaimSource, facilities can save time. The
flexible system allows claim forms to be populated with a click of a button.
Once inside ClaimSource, claims are sent to the payer-specific, Medicare and
HIPAA edit engines. Claims with errors are corrected before they are sent to
Passport's national network of payers enabling Passport ClaimSource to send
"clean" claims to the payers.
"Not only will ClaimSource search out errors prior to submission that a provider
might have in a claim, but we have also made finding and correcting those errors
extremely efficient," Lackey said.
Passport ClaimSource also provides audit trails to track where a claim is at in
the system. This makes it easier for the provider to track and balance the
claims that have been interfaced from a provider's health management system. In
addition, claim level and management level reporting is available, allowing the
provider to track all payer transaction reports, claim status, and ERAs with a
single system. ClaimSource allows the flexibility and customization for
providers to manage their business to their liking.
Passport ClaimSource also offers Direct Network Access to payers. Claims are
transmitted directly to the payers bypassing the Claims Management application.
Reports from the payer are then available to the provider through the
ClaimSource application. This includes the availability of remittance advice's
and 835's from the Payer.
"By adding ClaimSource to our list of products, Passport is that much closer to
creating a tool that is a single source to managing the complete Healthcare
Revenue cycle," Lackey said.
